PETER SCHILLING HAND CARVED JADE
- Hand Carved Jade Crab Claw
A naturalistic jade crab claw in an unusual blue-gray Wyoming nephrite with black dendrites and fine feathering in the jade body. A small area of iron staining appears at the lower end. The claw appears to pinch the cord, which is accented with a hand carved amethyst bead. 3 1/2″ high.
- Fine Gray Leaf Pendant
A leaf-form pendant in extremely fine grayish Wyoming nephrite with a yellow tone in transmitted light. A concave back, one grooved edge, and two nonfunctional conical holes add layers of complexity to the piece. 2 3/4″ high.
A very abstract dragon inspired by the ancients.
A dragon bar pendant in medium olive Wyoming nephrite with pseudomorphs after quartz crystals. The simple notches and holes cause the slightly curved bar of jade to crank back and forth in a slow serpentine motion not of this current age. 3 1/2″ high.
Fine Wyoming Olive Nephrite with Translucent Windows
